News From The Girl Who Went To NYC

So, here they are, pictures from my five-days trip to New York City. It was incredible, especially from the plane, because I could see all the big buildings. B-R-E-A-T-H-T-A-K-I-N-G.

● So we stayed at my host-mother's mother house, in the Upper-East side, in a cosy and very fancy appartment. Every morning, some croissants, bread and jam were waiting for us, and we went to some dinners and brunch, and the food was very high-quality and organic, so it was perfect.

We went to "Le Pain Quotidient" For breakfast with my family's friends, all from NYC.

Time Square. Hehe d:
Trump World Tower, highest residential building in New York. How do I know it ? Some guy just stopped and told that to me when he saw me taking a picture of it, that's it.

The UN headquarters, awesome, isn't it ?

 ● One day, we made a little excursion in Greenwich Village, mostly called "The Village"

This lovely italian coffee, Pagani, used to be a music-store, especially a guiter seller, just as this nice waitress told me. She even took me to the employees bathrooms downstairs, to show me the old bricks which still read PAGANI, as you can see above.

Central Park

Where John Lennon was shot.

● My family bought me a pass, so I could go to Ellis Island, to the MoMA, the Empire State Building and the MET. It was so cool !

I thought this emphasizes the horror of the event.
Survival Tree: survived 9/11, then was moved to Central Park, grew up again, and was returned to Ground Zero.

Well, we went to the 9/11 Memorial too, pretty moving.

Here are some pictures from the METropolitan Museum of Art

Some pictures from the top of the Empire State Building, after half an hour spent through security . . . Because, yeah, here, since you go to any monument, whatever it is, you have so much security, probably more than what you can meet at the airport, I mean it: they X-ray you, your stuff, twice, and you have to answer some questions about you . . . That's absolutely insane.

Here are few pictures from the Museum of Modern Art :

Edward Hopper, a painter whom we studied past year with my French teacher, and my management teacher probably heard about it too, if she sees this comment . . . (:

Here are some pictures from the subway and the e-train, from JFK International Airport to downtown, or almost.

So, as you probably guessed, that is tht Iphone we will be able to buy in France in about five months. It has been released n the US for two months . . . Just saying (:O

● Back to Seattle . . .

At my seat, and ready to take off ! Frenches should always think about bringing a bread-snack during flights.

Airways are usually so busy, that planes make circles before to land and to leave the "city zone".
